One hundred fifty six years after setting off, the Andromeda I mission has finally found a potential planet for the human species to call home in the Andromeda galaxy. Completely isolated from the world they left behind, the aged ship and multigenerational crew maintaining it find themselves more divided than ever. Having taken on the role of captain only recently, William Praskey continuously finds himself at odds with Chief Commander Heather Schaeffer. When growing mechanical problems threaten the ship and its more than one thousand crewmembers, Captain Praskey uncovers a conspiracy that threatens not only his title, but his life. Meanwhile, Chief of Astrobiology Katarina Doxsee studies an alien lifeform on the planet. After a strange interaction on the surface, she dives headfirst into studying the species with her team, intent on finding a way to establish communication. When her team’s project goes awry, Doxsee is caught in the middle of the increasing tension between Captain Praskey and Chief Commander Schaeffer. Despite the growing problems threatening the ship and their mission, Doxsee will stop at nothing to uncover the true nature of this alien species.

Adam Roulston explores his enthusiasm for space exploration and his thoughts on humanity’s future in his first book, Andromeda I. Alongside a lifelong enjoyment of writing, Adam enjoys Dungeons & Dragons and learning about history. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Carleton University and lives near Ottawa, Ontario, with his wife and daughter.
