On the east coast of Canada, a battle over her grandfather’s estate turns into a battle for her life when Haley Hickey is shot at through her kitchen window. Haunted by a patient and malicious stalker, Haley finds her life crumbling around her and flees to the only place she’s ever really felt safe: her Grampy’s old cabin up in the mountains. As she tries to come to terms with her grief, rejuvenate the homestead and help manage the woodlot her Grampy left her, the stalker moves in closer. Somehow, they always seem to be able to get at her, no matter how many locked doors, defensive dogs, and sturdy walls are in the way. An old flame steps up to protect her, and a lone officer tries to untangle the trail as the stalker’s threats become mental torture. But all the support and protection in the world is meaningless when the person who has it out for Haley turns out to be closer to her than anyone had guessed…

Beauchamp originates from Nova Scotia but has spent most of her life in New Brunswick; she grew up on a hobby farm, and since then has worked as a pharmacy technician, a truck driver, a forestry truck dispatcher now a store manager on the East Coast. Growing up with her father’s writing has left her with an itch to tell her own story. When she isn’t writing or dreaming up new exciting adventures, Beauchamp enjoys gardening, animals, nature, and working with wood. Beauchamp lives in Gagetown, New Brunswick, with her husband, children and pets.
