Now retired from a 48 year long stellar career in banking, J.L. McNaughton (Janet) has returned full time to young adult fantasy fiction writing which she has loved since she was a child. This epic tale has been in the works for over 45 years, with the first book - Before the Dawn - completed in her 20's and she is now working diligently on the third and final book in the epic journey. Not content with one trilogy, she has another young adult fantasy series in the works as well. When not writing, she enjoys long walks and adventures surrounding her and her husband Bruce's picturesque cottage on the banks of the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia.
