Gift of Strength
by Josh Hamilton

“Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” Micheal Jordan It was Feb 20th 2000. A boy named Josh Hamilton was born. Born in Canada, and with a disability known as autism. Throughout the years this boy struggled with making friends and great accomplishments. His interest went from playing video games, to sports and going to the gym. Why the change in interest? Well he's been picked on throughout the year for being different. He’s been called weird, a pussy, nobody, etc, and he wanted to prove people wrong, so he ended up wanting to lift weights for a living by his late teens and eventual rugby to also make his family proud. After high school, he found a gym to go to, and a 9-5 job. His job got so boring, he wanted to be more active like becoming a construction worker. However there was a problem. The only options he had would either to get his mom or dad to drop him off to work, or would ride the bus to work instead of driving there. Why you may ask? Because he never got his drivers licence when he was 16 . Thus he sets goals. One was keeping his interest in gaining strength from the gym and the other was to achieve his goals, so that he can move to a job that is as meaningful as working in the construction industry…

Josh Hamiliton is the author for this book. His hobbies are gym, reading, and outdoor activities. He's diagnosed with Autism, and he wants to inspire others who are struggling with or without autism, which Is why he wants write to a book series about his life.
