Koral Carpentier found poetry came naturally to her; she began writing as a child, and her ability to share poems from her heart and soul blossomed as an adult. As a contract tour guide, she has only found her passion for keeping the art of poetry and storytelling alive growing deeper (and more sought after). She has published two previous collections, My Legacy of Poetry (1996) and My Life in Poetry (2006), both by Marion Press. Her love of travel, running, and hiking go hand in hand with her writing, bringing her further moments of inspiration, reflection, and in the splendours of nature. She lives in Churchill, Manitoba, with her spouse, John, and their two beloved cats, Malcolm and Buzz. Her prairie hometown of Maymont, Saskatchewan, is her second home.
