In the summer, we meet up with our two kind and adventurous friends who go outside to paint and ponder. A summer rain storm comes and they run to hide in a cave near a waterfall. They feel sadness in their hearts because the rain is ruining their paintings. Then a ray of sunlight breaks through the clouds to remind them that joy is always near even when things are hard or difficult. A beautiful rainbow appears and the sun points out it could only make the rainbow with the rain leading to a lovely surprise ending for the children! This unique book acknowledges the Light of life is within everything and everyone and helps us remember how to nurture this innate joy within our children.

Juel Maerz is an Intuitive Children’s Book Author, Teacher and Soul Life Doula. She has a Masters in Curriculum Studies; Learners with Diverse Needs and Exceptionalities: B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed.. She has also studied Philosophy, Environmental Earth Science, Herbal Medicine and Astrology. Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Juel currently lives in the little surfing and fishing community of Seaforth, Nova Scotia with her family.
